Continentals Embark On Marathon Week Playoff Push

(Morristown,NJ)- The Morristown 1776 AFC (1-4-0, 3 pts), coming off their first league win of the season, are set to take to the pitch four and possibly five times in the next 8 days as they push towards a second consecutive MCSSA playoff berth.

The club plays tonight vs Walkill FC (4-2-3, 15 pts) at Madison High School, 6:30pm, Morristown's only previous matchup vs Walkill ended in a 3-2 friendly defeat in 2008.

On Wednesday the Continentals face Ballyoween FC(1-5-0, 3pts)  in Roseland,NJ also at 6:30pm.

Thursday will see 1776 face Sparta FC (2-4-1, 7 pts), time and location TBA.

On Saturday the Continentals travel to PJASC (1-4-1, 4 pts) @ Pope John HS in Sparta, 6:30pm.

Monday the club faces Parsippany Gators (6-0-2, 20 pts) in Roseland, NJ @ 6:30pm.

The Club is still attempting to schedule a makeup match vs SW Fredonbache (4-2-1, 13 pts), and is targeting a Tuesday (7/20) date.

Greskovich Returns




Midfielder James Greskovich, member of the 2009 MCSSA squad has been added to Continental roster and is expected to make his season debut sometime this week.
