MT76 Becoming A Home For Former Track Champions

(Morristown,NJ)- At this point it seems clear Chester Berry will make The Morristown 1776 AFC Roster for the upcoming MCSSA Season, becoming the 3rd Former Morris County Outdoor Track Champion to don the maroon and white in as many years.

Following Dylan Bauer (2007 200m & 400m) and Brian DeMarco (2003 1600m), Berry won back to back 200m titles in 2003 & 2004 before moving on to a successful career on the Track at the University of North Carolina. Berry's High School 200m winning time was almost .8 of a second quicker than Bauer's time.

Dylan Bauer has moved on to become a Navy Seal and DeMarco has moved out of state but the lineage of speed on The Continentals continues unabated as Berry looks to feature on the right wing.

"Berry is without a doubt the fastest footballer we have ever had on this club, and we've had some burners, speed is one thing we've never had a shortage of.", said Chairman Ryan Vinton, "(Chester) can play too, he's new to the game but shows a lot of promise and a surprising amount of skill, he has some intagables and reads the game well for someone with his soccer experience, he's a hell of an athlete."

"I've known (Berry) since high school (American) Football, where he was always my(as a quarterback) favorite deep threat, his explosiveness and speed was always unbelievable, it was throw it deep and he'd go get it."
