Press Release: Continental Youth Academy Launch pushed to Spring '09

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Morristown 1776 AFC has pushed back the launch date of its Continental Youth Academy from Fall 2008 to the Spring 2009 season.

Field Issues and other logistical problems have made The Club postpone this start date.

The Club is also pleased to announce that The Club will require all players to maintain a 2.5 grade point average with their school work in order to play for The Club.

"This is part of the core currlicum with our youth academy as we believe in enriching both the mind and the body. We are committed to strive to excel on and off the field thru academics, athletics and overall character.", said club chairman Ryan Vinton.

The Club also announed that the official name of the youth program has been changed for Continental Youth to The Continental Academy.

Press Release: Club to Start Youth Program in Fall

The Morristown 1776 Association Football Club is proud to announce the launch of The Continental Youth, youth soccer program. The club will field two clubs for the fall 2008 season, a under-12 and under-14 boys teams.

Press Release: Club names Cristao Manager


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:



The Morristown 1776 Association Football Club announced Claudio Cristao as their new manager (head coach) today. Claudio joins the club after years of experience with the Angolan Federation.



"Since our search began, Claudio was at the top of our list," said club chairman Ryan Vinton. "When Ryan (Deighan, club president) and I sat down with Mr. Cristao it was clear our visions for the club were on the same page, he outlined the same philosophical values of soccer and building a team that we also strive to follow."



"It is a honor and privilage to lead this club," said Cristao. "The 1776 are an organization that is moving in the right direction, I look forward to building them into a winner."
